Commission has issued a written warning on person authorized for transit of broadcasting “A+B” Ltd
In accordance with the decision of GNCC, written warning has been issued on the person authorized for transit of broadcasting “A+B” ltd for illegal re-transmission of few broadcasting channels.
The company was distributing following channels without appropriate rights and licenses: 1.“TV 1,” 2. „Кинохит“, 3.„МИР”, 4. „Дом Кино“, 5. „ТНТ“, 6. „Сарафан“, 7. „Россия К”, 8. „IDM zerbaijan”, 9. „Шансон ТВ”, 10. :Maestro” 11. „History”, 12. “Imedi” 13. “Rustavi 2” 14. “Comedu Channel” 15. „Охота и Рибалка”, 16. “Ertsulovneba”, 17. „IDX“, 18. „RTVi”, 19. „Viasat Sport”, 20. “Enki Benki”, 21. „Viasat Nature”, 22. “Silk Universal”, 23. „Кухня ТВ“, 24. “2nd Channel of Public Broadcaster”, 25. „Детский Мир“, 26. “R.B.G”, 27. “Discovery”, 28. “Kartuli Arkhi”, 29. “Obieqtivi”, 30. “Kavkasia”, 31. „Discovery Science“, 32. “Tabula”, 33. “Marao”, 34. “TV3” 9Russian), 35. “GDS”, 36. “Adjara”, 37. „РВК”, 38. “Iberia.”
After examining an issue, the Commission came to the conclusion, that “A+B” has violated the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works, the WIPO Copyright Treaty, and the Georgian laws “on Copyright and Related Rights " and “on Broadcasting.” According with the Commission’s decision, legal entity has been assigned to immediately cancel illegal re-transmission of above-mentioned channels.
